Verse of the week: “I have told you these things so that in me, you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”-John 16:33

I love this verse and always have. It’s my favorite verse. And we can all relate to it.

All of us will have troubles. We are all going to have trials and struggles that will make us say to ourselves, “I can’t do this anymore.”

And that’s when we run away from God. And that is just what Satan wants: for us to run away from God. Satan dresses himself up as everything we ever wanted and tempts us and wants to take everything away from us that we have with God.

And he will.

If we let him.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths.”-Proverbs 3:5-6

We need to trust in God because He is the only thing in this world who can help us; the only one in this cruel world that can quench our overwhelming thirst and desire to be heard and have good things come out of it.

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”-Romans 8:38-39

God is going to love us no matter what. And that amazes me. This unconditional love never ceases to amaze me. A man died on a cross over 2000 years ago so we could live.

So, my question for you is:

Will you take heart?
